Corporate Acquisitions, Innovations in Space Utilization and Energy Management, and Expanded On-Demand Offerings Fuel Sustained Growth

FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts—January 17, 2012—PeopleCube, provider of intelligent workplace, resource, and energy management technology, today announced another year of record growth. The company attributes the 40 percent increase it saw in its core business in 2011 to a number of factors, including the ongoing innovation of its suite of workspace and energy management solutions, the growth of its on-demand business, and strategic corporate acquisitions.

The 2011 acquisition of UK-based BusinessSolve and its room- and desk-booking software solution, Workspace Manager, secured PeopleCube’s position as the leading provider of scheduling solutions for small, medium, and enterprise organizations throughout Europe and North America. In addition to enabling PeopleCube to significantly grow its business in those regions, the acquisition supported the sustained growth of the company’s subscription software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.

Solution Enhancements Addressed Evolving Business Needs
As in past years, PeopleCube maintained a focus on technical innovation throughout 2011. It added numerous capabilities to its workplace and energy management solutions, including new features to improve the productivity and efficiency of users of its flagship product, Resource Scheduler, and to simplify the application’s administration.

PeopleCube’s active Energy Management Solutions were named a “2011 Top Money Saving Product” by Buildings magazine. This ground-breaking technology helps organizations reduce energy costs through automated energy management. It allows for the implementation of submeters to monitor and analyze energy consumption levels to uncover inefficient use of energy, and integrates with building management systems to automatically control energy consumption based on actual space utilization.
More Innovation Means More Power and Control for Users

Brought to market in 2011, Workplace BI 2.0, the second generation of PeopleCube’s workspace utilization analysis solution, provides integration with Tableau software. This enables organizations to leverage Workplace BI’s interactive visualizations to measure, monitor, and analyze real-estate utilization trends; identify organizational inefficiencies; and make adjustments to improve real-estate performance and reduce costs.

Also during 2011, PeopleCube added desk-sensor capabilities to its PeopleCounter real-estate management and occupancy-detection solution. In combination with PeopleCounter’s innovative image sensors, this makes it possible for real-estate and facilities professionals to uncover cost-saving opportunities by tracking occupancy levels and utilization rates from across entire facilities right down to the individual workspace level.

Recognized as Industry Leader
During 2011 PeopleCube achieved significant growth in its SaaS subscription model and in its overall customer base, welcoming more than 150 new customers eager to maximize the efficient utilization of their workspace. This sustained growth resulted in PeopleCube being named to Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers for the third consecutive year.

Efficient Workplace and Energy Management at Forefront of Cost-Reduction Initiatives
PeopleCube’s position as the market leader for workspace management solutions led to speaking engagements at numerous industry conferences and tradeshows throughout 2011. PeopleCube experts offered insights on automated active energy management; space occupancy and efficient utilization of real estate; best practices in telework management; and innovation in workplace business intelligence.
