FRAMINGHAM, Massachusetts, May 24, 2011—PeopleCube, the world’s largest provider of workplace management software solutions, today announced that Peter M. Tarca has been named General Manager of its Intelligent Buildings business unit. Tarca, a 25-year industry veteran with a specialty in cleantech and energy efficiency, will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s energy management and sustainability solutions business. He will report to President and CEO John T. Anderson.

“Peter’s experience as a senior executive, his track record for sustained business growth, and his passion for global sustainability initiatives give him the tools needed to successfully lead PeopleCube’s Intelligent Buildings business unit,” said Anderson. “He will help extend our portfolio of resource management and business intelligence offerings with energy management and sustainability solutions that companies need to run sustainable operations and cut energy costs.”
Tarca previously served as CEO of Proliphix Inc., a developer of native Internet Protocol distributed energy management solutions. He also served as CEO of InterSense, Inc., and Vibrint Technologies. Tarca oversaw the turnaround and growth of InterSense’s motion-tracking solutions business, and was responsible for the advancement and ultimate sale of digital broadcast video pioneer Vibrint.

Tarca earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Central Connecticut State University and completed the High Technology Management Program at Northeastern University.
